SexWork.ca Forum Rules & Code of Conduct1. Age Requirement
All members must be 18 years of age or older.
Registration by anyone under 18 is strictly prohibited.
By registering, you affirm that you are of legal age and competent to participate in adult discussions.
2. Purpose of This Forum
This community exists to promote safety, harm reduction, legal awareness, and peer support for people involved in or affected by sex work in Canada.
It is not a site for solicitation or commercial sex advertising of any kind.
3. No Solicitation or Transactional Offers
Do not post or request paid sexual services in any public area of this forum.
Do not share contact info (phone numbers, email, social media, or links) for the purpose of arranging sex work transactions.
Members may discuss laws, safety, and advocacy — but not buy, sell, or trade services.
Posts that even appear to solicit or advertise sex work will be removed without notice.
4. Safety, Privacy & Anonymity
Never post or “doxx” anyone’s personal information without explicit consent.
If you share a safety alert or bad-date report, omit names, addresses, phone numbers, or identifying data that could cause legal issues.
Do not upload any explicit images, videos, or media showing nudity.
Use anonymized nicknames when discussing incidents or sensitive matters.
5. Respectful Conduct
Treat all members with respect and empathy.
Discrimination, hate speech, or slurs based on gender, race, sexuality, or occupation will not be tolerated.
Harassment, threats, or stalking (online or offline) result in immediate bans and possible police referral.
6. Legal Compliance
Discussions must comply with Canadian federal and provincial law, including PCEPA.
Posts promoting human trafficking, exploitation, or underage activity will be deleted and reported to authorities.
The forum is not liable for user content but will cooperate with lawful investigations when necessary.
7. Posting Guidelines
Stay on topic within each section (Safety Alerts, Resources, Legal Discussion, Advocacy, etc.).
Use clear titles and descriptive language to help others find information.
No spam, self-promotion, or commercial advertising (unless pre-approved by admins).
One account per person — duplicate accounts will be removed.
8. Moderation
Moderators may move, edit, or remove posts at their discretion to protect the community.
If you disagree with a moderation action, contact an admin privately — do not start public arguments.
Repeat or severe violations may result in warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.
9. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of your posts but grant SexWork.ca a perpetual license to display them within the forum.
Deleted accounts may leave posts intact for discussion continuity, unless legally required to remove them.

This forum is for peer support, education, and activism only.
Nothing here should be taken as legal or medical advice.
Always verify information independently before taking action.
